Lloyd will take part in Australian national championship

Matthew Lloyd will be the first cyclist from Team LAMPRE-MERIDA to take part in an official race in 2013 wearing the team jersey. On Sunday 13 January, the “king of the mountain” of Giro d’Italia 2010 will be at the start of the Australian national championship. The race lenght will be 195,6 km, the course (start and arrival in Buninyong) will be made quite tough by 14 pasages on two hills. In 2012, Lloyd was 2nd behind Gerrans.

“It’s a great honour for me to be the first cyclist to race on Merida bike: I’ll be very motivated to realize a good performance – Lloyd said (photo Pisoni) – The event is always important for the Australian riders, that’s why the opponents will be at the top”.
