Brixia Tour – 2nd stage

Brixia Tour – 2nd stage

Felline hit the target in the part A of the 2nd stage of Brixia Tour, preceding Colli in the final sprint of a group of 30 riders.
The only difficult part of the stage (Pisogne-Brescia, 135,5 km) was the climb of Colle San Zeno: 5 riders tried to anticipate the bunch by attacking in the early kilometres of the race, but they could not resist to the chase of the group, that covered the climb at a high pace. In the downhill, a group of 30 riders set up and it reached Brescia for the final sprint: Pietropolli supported team mate Ulissi, who obtained the 4th place.
The part B of the stage, a time trial in Brescia, didn’t take place.

“In the morning, Pietropolli and Ulissi gave good signs, since they pedalled well on the climb and then they matched efficiently in the final sprint”, Tebaldi commented.
